Z1 Blue Race Car Beds

The Z1 Blue Race Car Beds and Princess Carriage Beds are sized for a standard twin mattress and box springs which you must provide yourself. If you don’t have twin box springs, you can use a bunk bed support board, or a sheet of plywood with the following dimensions: 72" (183 cm) x 36" (91 cm) x ¾" (2 cm). The bed comes with wooden mattress supports and the height for these can be adjusted to two levels. You will probably want the lower level if you are using a mattress in conjunction with the spring box. Please be aware that these wooden mattress supports will not support the mattress by itself. The maximum weight these can support is 200 lbs. (91 kg).

Safety

One aspect of TV Bed in Brown beds which has made them very popular with parents, and one reason why they have chosen these beds over others, are the high sides which are high enough to stop the Little Guy from rolling out. Even if he moves around a lot in his sleep as he dreams of driving his own car, you’ll never need to worry because he will still be safe. The sides are a bit higher towards the top of the bed, so the Little Guy can climb in and slide out from the foot. You’ll never need to add side rails to these beds, although I have heard that if you really do need more of a side, then you can take out the box springs so that the mattress is enclosed on all sides.

What to Be Aware of

Because the bed uses a standard size twin mattress, you may find there is a 4" (10 cm) gap along one side or 2" (5 cm) gap on both sides between the mattress and the bed, so it’s best to make sure that the mattress is centrally positioned well. This isn’t too much of a problem and it is easy to reach down by the mattress and pull out fallen toys. If you want the mattress to be over to one side, then placing pillows or a folded blanket in the space can be a good option. One thing to bear in mind is these beds are larger than a regular bed, so make sure you have room to fit it in. If you are going to put it in a small room you should measure first to make sure it would fit. The size of the bed is 27" (68.6 cm) high x 58" (147.3 cm) wide x 94" (238.8 cm) long.

Easy Assembly

The Z1 Blue Race Car Beds and black Leather Button Beds are easy to assemble and on average take between 1 to 2 hours, but sometimes even less. The directions are very simple and they can be downloaded in advance from the Little Tikes website. A screwdriver is the only tool required, but be careful if you use a cordless one because you don’t want to strip the holes as you will be screwing into soft plastic. To disassemble, just do everything in reverse. Before assembling you should open the box and sort the pieces to check that all the parts are there. Mistakes can happen and if so, call the company for instructions on how to obtain any missing parts. It might be a good idea to have someone to assist you by starting at one side of the sticker and slowly applying from that side and rubbing to the other. It’s worth bearing in mind that the wheels are only held on with one screw, so with these, a little care should be taken. Liquid nails may also be used to add extra strength. The only thing people seem to have had a problem with has been attaching the car’s decals. With these, just take your time and be patient and the decals will go on smoothly.
